cool tips on the X.
i'm sure many know this but just in case you didnt, in addition to watching DVD movies using the cd/dvd drive you can also watch pretty much any file type movie from your usb drive. i just purchased a 128 gig flash drive from BestBuy for $59.00 and loaded it with tons of movies in mp4, mkv, and wma formats. it reads them all and displays a list of them just as you stored them on the drive. turn off the split screen on the nav and you have full screen. remember, there's a safety feature when playing movies. you must stay in park unless you plan on coding. (which i plan to do this weekend btw, i was also looking at gps tracking solutions just in case i lose my car. tons of options out there but none of them user friendly or elegant. I decided to just use one of my older iphones (still connected) instead. i have the find phone feature enabled and another free app called phone tracker. plugged it into the usb, hid it, and now use it for music, phone, and tracking. my other phone also has the phone tracker and i can now monitor the vehicle from almost anywhere in the world. great for leaving the car parked at the airport. can easily find it. accuracy within a few feet. obviously not the cheapest solution but it works for me. has anyone done something similar and/or cheaper? are there any other cool tips?
