Rear Suspension Sensor Voltage Readings

Guys,

I have a 2002 E53.

It sits lower on the left hand side at the rear - (or maybe its higher on the right hand side, I'm not sure).

The airbags are fine - it sits at this level all the time, regardless of if the engine is running or if its been sat for a few days.

The compressor is definitely working.

There are no error messages.

I took a voltage reading using INPA and got the following results;
Rear Left Sensor voltage - 1.9
Rear Right Sensor voltage - 3.4

But which reading is correct, does anyone know?

Is this fault likely to be a bad sensor? - they're giving readings so does that mean they are working?

Or is the fault with the suspension module as it isn't picking up on the fact that voltages are different and it isn't doing anything about it.

I'm NOT getting the "suspension inactive" reading on the dash.

The left hand side isn't completely flat as I can release all air pressure from the left hand airbag and it will reduce further in height. When reconnected the compressor brings it back up to the same wonky level as before.

Its very odd and I'm not sure where to start as there are no error messages.

Any help gratefully received.

Just a quick update on this in case it helps anyone with similar symptoms.

I swapped the suspension module in the battery tray under the spare wheel with a used one and the problem was cured.

I didn't need to change the level sensors that are mounted under the car - in fact I didn't need to get my hands dirty at all!

I hope this helps someone out.

Hi
from what i see, the heights are out, you will need access to a scanner that will write to the ecu of the air suspension. The air suspension is not fully automatic. The heights have to be measured from the wheel rim edge at the centre of the bottom (not the floor) to the mud guard. You have to use special functions to set the heights, it should be around 700mm. once all are set to the correct heights you need to go into calibration and input the heights of all corners in order. The tyre pressure indicator is reset by holding down the button and turn on ignition until it goes through sequence approx 5 seconds then go for a ride
