zf 6hp26, why you may have the hard 2-1 shift.

Found this while I was cruising the net.

-GUIBO FLEX DISC. They usually go bad after BMW lifetime period 60-70k.

Common Symptoms:

a) hard 2-1 shift

b) at stop you can hear clunking when shifting from P-R-D

If you are replacing both flex discs and have a V-8, it's a good time to do the motor mounts as well as the center support bearing.

Something I need to do for sure. I'm getting the vibration at startup and idle.
