Looks like a vacuum hose. Once on my 3 series accidentally unplug the vacuum hose going to the throttle body.

So would this be the reason I hear a BOV sound in each shift? Does it mean I'm running on low trans fluid?

So which is correct? Trans or diff vent tube? I do not know of any type of diff that require venting...?
