Wink Installed BMW Motorsports Strut Bar

J/K. This is actually the one sold by the eBay seller "attractspeed". There are a couple of threads about it. I installed it a few weeks ago. Anyway, I'm posting a pic so you guys can see what it looks like in BLACK. The previous pics posted were of the Ti color version.

I bought one of these too...did you have to modify it to fit where the frontmost strut bolt sticks up too high for the plates to fit flat? I had to cut a groove in mine to accomodate the strut bolt sticking up..still, hell of a bang for the buck at $175.00 delivered. There are several on ebay right now.

I didn't have to modify mine at all. Interestingly enough, the round brackets were incorrectly placed on the bar. Once I swapped them, the bar went on like buttah.

I got the vinyl decals from an eBay seller a while back. Just do a search.

The purpose of a strut tower bar is to reduce flex that these towers experience during hard cornering. When taking a turn a car's strut towers normally flex, resulting in bodyflex and losing some traction. As Strut Tower Bars are designed to keep your strut towers from flexing, they distribute the pressure applied to one strut tower when taking a turn to both towers instead of just one. But most folks just get them to dress up their engine compartment.
