Need help identifying hoses from intake manifold area on 2002 BMW x5 3.0i

I am trying to identify 2 hoses to figure out where they go after a head gasket replacement. Both are on the intake manifold side for a 2002 BMW x5 3.0i. One is on the left side of the intake boot, looks like a vacuum hose but is hard and seems molded part number was BMW 31.50-1.428.

The second hose seems like its made of similar material. Looks like a candy cane shaped black molded vacuum hose, but about 8 to 10 inches down has a small bulge, where maybe it connects to another similar sized pipe? Its very close to fuel line, and the dipstick pipe towards back corner of the intake manifold. All help will be appreciated

by the way your describing those hoses the are vent hoses for the tranny and gear box. can you post a pick to make sure thats what your talking about. in other words they go any where.

It is not telling you the file is too large?

No. Files were only around 50 kb each. The server would hang on upload for some reason, then time out.

Are you going to the "go advanced" below posting and then to "manage attachments", select a photo from say desktop and then "upload"?

Yes, and I've done it before successfully.

So much easier to use photo bucket or some other hosting sight.
