Bought the Lemforders
Good to know, thank you. I ususally assume that I get what I pay for. I need to get a pair and those were tempting me.

I'm getting a clunk & it seems my strut bearing is moving around although it looks fine. I ordered the Lemforders, do I need a spring compressor to swap them?

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
^For top strut mount/bearings? Yes I believe you would as the springs hold the mounts under pressure on the perch.

Thanks, I have them just needed to know f they were needed. It's not under 90 so I may let a pro do it when FCP delivers.

I had something similar which happened intermittently -. Try tightening the stiffener plate bolts that are somewhere near the sterring rack. After I had replaced strut mounts etc it turned out these just needed loctited and tightened up.

easy fix, but you need 2 jacks (one to raise the steering knuckle to release tension) and a thin 18mm wrench to hold the back.
No real change is ride/performance. HUGE difference is aesthetics

Ever notice when you fix one noise it makes it quieter to hear the new ones!
My X5 is at Mspec getting the repair as I am writing this response......................Sway bar links???? and I have new ones installed 2 years ago.
