I have the same issue as of tonight (panel just started peeling). Good news is I have a warranty so I guess it's off to the dealer to have it fixed ASAP

I found out how to get the panels out without having to remove the entire sunroof cassette.I had to remove the glass panels but it's not too bad. Glad to hear you get it covered under warranty.

g300D,
If you PM me your email address I will email you some PDF's from the BMW TIS program. Here's what it is in a nutshell: 1. Remove interior headliner (and associated pieces - visors, grab handles, etc.) 2. Remove 6 screws holding in the front glass and 4 screws holding in the back glass. 3. Remove the glass and you will have access to the screws holding in the panels. Slide the panels out and head to the upholstery shop. It's time consuming and you have to have patience, which I severely lack, but it's not overly complicated. PM me your email address and I'll send you the detailed info when I get home from work this evening. Rich |
