Floor Mat Color

On my invoice it has that my interior is sand beige. I don't have floor mats, PO canned them. I see OEM beige colored mats all over but not 1 sand beige. Are they both the same color for 2002? I see sand beige on later model cars/SAV.

Alternatively, this is a place where you can go with black and still be okay. In a perfect world you would want the mats to match the carpet, but if the carpets are a light color then they will get dirty easily, and black might be a better choice.

My X5 has the Truffle Brown interior, but the floor is black so the mats are also black. My E36 has black interior, so black mats make sense.

Beige and sand beige cannot be significantly different, I don't think it matters. You cannot go wrong with black though. Maybe you can...

Jump on RealOEM, punch in vin, pull corresponding part # that matches it, and you should be good to go. IF memory recalls, I believe it's listed as Hellaubeige.

Unless you are super picky clean...I think looking at getting black floor mats may be a viable option as suggested above.

There's enough black trim and accents in the car that even with SandBeige interior...black floor mats still work...and cover a multitude of dirt that gets brought in on carpeted mats.

You can see how dark mats look in a SandBeige interior in this pic of my bro-in-law's 97 e38...the only difference is...the pic is of e38 oe specific rubber mats...but the gist is to take note of black mats on sandbeige...not carpet vs rubber....and how it works with the other black trim pieces in the car.

You don't want beige mats. That's what I put in mine and every time I get in the car I look at the mats. I am disappointed. The beige shows everything, and I keep a clean car.

I agree with black mats. With my beige interior i chose black mats which matches the headliner and dashboard and always looks clean. I've had them for 200K and they still look great.

The wife wanted the Beige so... The part number 82-11-008-638 is for sand beige carpets. What most companies do is just call it beige (same P/N) for our vintage of SAV.

My car came with rugged fitted rubber mats, to be honest I kind of dig it like that. They are easy to clean and gives a kinda military look to the interior
