What is this for?

Found this plastic holder for something, just randomly floating around in the trunk area beside the spare wheel, when I first investigated my battery (only had the car two months). Anyone know what it's for?

Is this a trick question!😄
I have mine on the centre console and goes over the cup holders and I have my Webasto. Heater remote in it.

Seriously - this is not a trick question.... I have no idea what a Webasto is or what this plastic piece is for. I've just gone to the car and tried it in the cup holder compartment and it fits. Still doesn't tell me what this thing is supposed to carry or hold? Maybe a large German fork for big pork sausages, or a sex aid?

Okay- would never in my wildest of dreams considered using 'lobster tray' as a search criteria, but.... followed the link and it seems the gurus at BMW designed this to hold pens. Really???? WTF sort of pens do they use in Germany?
Like someone else said, they used a dremel to cut out the shape of their mobile (cell) phone or iPod. I think I'm gonna chuck this useless piece of plastic back in the trunk until I can come up with a suitable use for it. Thanks for the replies - oh and I must say, I like the 'spare camel toe' concept - could come in handy on a rainy day!

It's an "oddments tray". Designed to accepts all sorts of sizes and shapes of bits and pieces. Mine has been in the shed since day 1. But I'm sure there us someone who finds it useful.

Well, two iPads were no help either on the search. Both returned blank screens...WTF? I'm trying to figure out where the oil leak on my driver side is coming from. I'm afraid it's the alternator one, but hoping for other options...

Why a Montblanc pen of course...a fine expensive German pen goes naturally with a fine expensive German vehicle. No ordinary BIC will do.
