How much should I be paying for a 4.6is?
I've been eyeing this one on eBay but even this one looks like it's priced high for the mileage: BMW x5 4 6IS Sport Utility 4 Door | eBay Did anyone get a decent deal on their cars? How much did you guys pay? |

Since not many 4.6iS were made (under 2,700 total IIRC), and only for 2 years, the well kept, clean, maintained examples should theoretically fetch more.
Beat to shit examples are easily found at lower prices

$9900 for a 2002 4.6 with 94k miles, [it appears] the normal age-related fixes already done, and Style 87 staggered 20" wheels? You think that's high? I don't know what KBB claims, but that is low mileage for a 12-13 y/o and seems a good price, depending on actual condition and what needs to be done. FYI, I got a good deal for the son in law in Fall 2013 paying $9k for a 2001 3.0L with 80k miles.

It is not a common car and clean examples will fetch more than beat ones. I would expect up to mid teens on that one.

That X5 belongs to forum member don't remember who. I believe reading something about it was actually a Cali car until he recently moved to Illinois.

I think that is a good deal if you can get it close to that. You will need to budget for the timing guides or DIY. If it was enthusiast owned( like most of here) that is plus to me since those types are more informed how to take care of it.
And he is in your state. If I were to buy that, I would be stuck paying another 1200.00 to ship it here. So that has to factored in as well.
