Not knowing which model you have (3.0/4.4/4.8is)...I have to go two ways in my (help us help you better by adding the model nomenclature to your sig

).
The car's various modules and systems communicate over a bus system. Communication goes in multiple directions but each system has a master control module. The IKE (instrument cluster) is like the "gate-keeper" module in that everything passes thru it if it requires passing communication over to a module in another bus.
The door and it's modules have the GM III as is control module. The bluetooth unit passes info over the I-bus (if you have the high cluster) or the K-bus (if you have the low cluster).
You can see how modules communicate and pass info in the two charts below. Again, if you have one of the V8 models...you have the high cluster (has the 20 digit/alpha numeric display) as well as the I-bus...see the top chart below. If you have the 3.0...you might have the base (low cluster) or you could have the optional high cluster if you have navigation...see the 2nd chart below (K-bus). Again, the door and it's modules get's its orders from the GM...and passes info back to it. Again, I can't think of any information in the doors that would need to pass info over the K-bus or I-bus that would interfere with bluetooth audio. If anyone sees or can think of something that I'm overlooking...please feel free to chime in.
(the bluetooth module isn't in the illustrations...but if it were...it be on the I-bus (high cluster) or the K-bus (base/low cluster)
