X5 Maintenance

Got my X5 4.4i about a week ago with about 74k. I will be driving this car across the country in a couple of week. What kind of maintenance need to be done before I go on my trip? What are common failing parts on the M62 engine?
I've tried contacting bmwna for service records, but they're not very helpfull.

Mechanical wise the truck run very smooth, I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. My brother who owned a 95 M3 told me to replace the cooling system, at the very least the waterpump and thermostat before my trip. He said he replaced his every 75K on the M3. Should I do this? What else should I replace before my trip? Currently I am thinking of replacing most of the oil (brake, pw stering, diff, tranny) and flush the radiator and put new bmw coolant in.
Maybe a new spark plug. (any recomendation on which spark plug to use?)

Thanks
