That phone is so old, it probably predates sim cards. Seriously.

Wow, that's a throwback. There is definitely no SIM card in that phone. If you still want a phone kit in the car then your only real option is to retrofit a bluetooth module.

You can still use analog phones in Canada?

I have left that phone installed in my 2002 just for grins. White46 is correct. It has no sim card. It worked fine in 2002. Was hands free through the audio system. It wasn't long before it was very outdated. I kept the phone line to use only in the vehicle for a time but I wasn't on the phone that much so it wasn't worth the cost of a second phone line. Add bluetooth to your X5 and come back to the future.

Here is my 'current' clam shell phone, circa 2006 model.
Still works OK...

The CEO has a smart phone; she & our kids won't let me get one. They tell me I'm not 'smart enough', and I talk on this old Samsung about 2 dozen times per year.

When I carried the bag/travelled I had a car phone from '82 on, and all variations of company cell phones along the way., inc the Captain Kirk Motorola box thing,
I'm done talking on cell phones, unless I have to.
