Not related I am sure. Key fob battery was changed successfully, but now it works intermittently. Great far away, but up close sometimes nothing. And sometimes on the second unlock press the windows start to come down instead of the other doors unlocking. Whats uP?
Also, strange squeaky noise in the right rear. Is it shock? Does the bushing material squeak when it's old? Original rear shocks: 196K miles on 01./3.0

Sounds like the unlock button is getting stuck. Windows only roll down when you press and hold the unlock button.

196k on original shocks? Even if it's not the problem, it's pretty safe to say they need to be replaced.

At 196k I'd be changing every bushing and ball joint in rear if they are original

FYI the squeaking is most likely the lower ball joint on the swing arm
