Switched power in cargo area of 2006 X5
Also, I have been looking for the cable diagram for the rear area. Does anyone have access to the wiring diagram?

Switched power 2006 X5 update
OK, I didn’t get any responses from my earlier post so let me try this question differently.
Does anyone have the pin out diagram of the rear seat heater relay plug?

Have you tested for switched power in the left side compartment of the hatch area?
I can't imagine that with the wiring for the phone/CD/DVD/amplifier being there that none of them are switched 12V.. |

Good point DSSA
Thanks for the thought DSSA. I did look in that area without a diagram. It is a spaghetti bowl. That is the place I will go back to if I don't get any other responses. I was hoping to find a fused power source. I tried to find diagrams but they appear to be hard to come by. If I can find a switched power source on the right side that is fused from the front fuse box, that will probably work just as well.
Just so you understand. I recently installed a hitch rated for 600/6000 lbs. I had a Curt light controller installed with an adaptor for a 7 pin to provide the 12 volts to the Prodigy RF break controller. All is well and good except I would like to install the Tow Ready battery Isolation solenoid to turn off the 12v to the trailer when stopped. I just can't find a suitable switched power source to run the solenoid. Thanks. |

You can tap into the 12v utility sockets that use a 20amp fuse or the fuse is the 12th. fuse back coming from the front of the X in the rear compartment.
