Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
I would use some dielectric grease on the microswitch connection as it seems the loose connection is what messes it up?

I assume they were NOT attached to the micro switches when you first looked at this problem?
Are you sure you put the metal tangs back on the correct way?

I've got a similar problem. Switch seems to jump out of place. I have been taking the housing apart, re-seat the switch. Everything is good, then a week or two later back to where I started.

Some pictures would be appreciated...

I am pretty sure the clips went back in as they should have.... I used pix from this forum to attempt the repair. Yes, I am sure they are correct...
Seems odd with as many folks that have experienced this same issue, that there isn't a common fix... .

I mean if the clip is off and is put back on correctly, it should work... If not go to step 2....

Thing is I can't find step 2....

(I did read , that it's possible to reroute the wires slightly so that they aren't pinched when the cover is put back on , but I tested mine with the covers off as well and no difference)
