4.6/4.8 – Front Flares ONLY (NO Running Boards).

Part Number ------ Description ------------------------- QTY
51 71 7 002 953 -- BLIND RIVET ------------------------- 14
51 71 7 049 867 -- FLARED WHEEL ARCH, FRONT LEFT ------- 1
51 71 7 049 868 -- FLARED WHEEL ARCH, FRONT RIGHT ------ 1
These definitely look flared in the realoem diagrams. Somehow though it appears these PNs are also listed as the only (standard) front flares on the 4.8is? Mine has the un-flared versions? What gives?

Was there a special aero package available form the dealer that included the flared fronts?

I ordered and received rear flares a few weeks back (apart from the rear arches) without issue. Maybe somebody else here has recently gone for the arches?

Did you order the fronts, rears, or both?

Was there a special aero package available form the dealer that included the flared fronts? The part #'s are accurate for the flared fronts, unfortunately I don't know why it shows as standard on 4.8iS.

As I mentioned the only kit NLA from BMW is the complete front/rear LeMans retrofit kit, but it is available separately by part numbers. There was a part # for the entire kit but its no longer sold.

Did you order the fronts, rears, or both?

You can order fronts from the dealer. I checked availability a few months ago when I quoted out RB's. Still a nice and rare mod nonetheless because few people know about them.

I ordered the fronts. If I am thinking correctly, all IS's come factory with rear flares. Supposed to arrive tomorrow, will update with pics in a separate thread...

Nice ride always loved the IS look. quick question, i noticed you had your windshield replaced by safelight? have you used your rainsensor yet? Before their replaced mine even with the giant cracked windshield i had no problems, Afterward I have no automatic lights nor do i have the rainsensor and they ordered a new sensor but i noticed the sensor mount has bubbles in the glue now and even with the new sensor it does not initialize .....frustrating
