Slight squealing when RELEASING clutch pedal
July 2013: Dealer replaced the Clutch for previous owner at 110K miles. July 2014: I bough the X5 at 115K, I am now at 120K. This is a small issue since day one. Only in morning going to work. Start engine, then: - Press Clutch pedal in: no noise at all. - Release Clutch pedal: about half way up, there is a 1-second sounding like "eeeeee", then it goes away. This is a "rotating noise", i.e., not Clutch Pedal pivot noise. In other words, with car engine off, when I press Clutch pedal in and out: no noise. I assume that during the Clutch job, the dealer replaced everything (Clutch itself, pilot and T.O. bearing) but this is just an assumption. PS: I am thinking something with the T.O. bearing, but usually you get the noise when pressing clutch pedal, not when releasing the pedal.

Is this while the car is off?
I find that sometimes when I'm first pressing in clutch to start the car I can hear a faint squeak as I depress pedal. I've had brakes/clutch flushed twice since purchasing in December 2011, have never had an issue with clutch holding, slipping etc. I lubricated the actual pedal itself as it was quite gummed up with gunk when I was replacing my brake light switch, but I don't believe the squeak was in cabin.
