Shocks in the rear..

I have the air suspension rear end in the 3.0 X5,01.
I can get a pair of Bilstien shocks HD for the rear.
Checked Bilstein and they said they are good for my ride.
I have a great pair of HD Bill's on the front and love them.
Will these in the rear create a super stiff, bouncy ride? Has anyone used them instead of Sachs oem? Don't want it to stiff, but enjoy the firm handling.
THoughts anyone?
Jeff

4.4l. X5, 02, Replaced rear bags with Arnott standard bags and took the opportunity to install Bil HD at same time. Original bag developed a leak and had a fatal to it failure. Post installation rears much stiffer, but not punishing.
So do not know if stiffness was due to new "springs" or the better shocks.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
FWIW, Bilstein Tourings are closest to the OEM shocks. Yellow (HD's) are stiffer

I have the yellows on my 2005 4.4i sport suspension model w/rear air suspension. Vegas roads aren't that bad, so use that in your decision making process. I like them and have them on all four corners. Sporty ride and responsive handling, but sharp bumps will be more abrupt than with stock shocks.

I've got the yellows on my 2001 with rear-air sport suspension, too. Definitely firm but good fun for Street use.
