There are a couple of factors to consider. #1 what EQ setting do you have the iPod set to. With it connected go thru some of the settings and see which ones sound best.#2 Check the Eq on you radio #3 Find a way NOT to use the headphone output. I connected my Aux input to the line output from the dock and what a difference. So I began a search for a smaller unit and was amazed that few companys have a device that plugs into the bottem of my 3rd generation iPod so I could use line out instead of the headphone jack. I did fine one with this company. http://www.sendstation.com/us/produc...ineout-fw.html I have not purchased it but when I do i'll let you know how it sounds. Belkin also has a different approach.
