Aux Input....sound no good

I've just finished installing Aux input in the cup holder area last night and connect my Iaudio Cowon X5 player. Somehow it doesn't sound good compared to radio or CD. I am not sure whether or not it's the nature of Aux or the quality of my mp3 ripping? Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Maybe you need to boost the gain of the AUX input.....when you are in AUX input mode....presets 1-6 on the radio controls the gain...."1"=low & "6"=high gain.

Good luck.

There are a couple of factors to consider. #1 what EQ setting do you have the iPod set to. With it connected go thru some of the settings and see which ones sound best.#2 Check the Eq on you radio #3 Find a way NOT to use the headphone output. I connected my Aux input to the line output from the dock and what a difference. So I began a search for a smaller unit and was amazed that few companys have a device that plugs into the bottem of my 3rd generation iPod so I could use line out instead of the headphone jack. I did fine one with this company.http://www.sendstation.com/us/produc...ineout-fw.html I have not purchased it but when I do i'll let you know how it sounds. Belkin also has a different approach.
