Front, High-End speaker install

I've searched through here and have found plenty of posts on custom sub enclosures, head unit options, and BravSoundwerks.

However, I can't seem to find to many people who installed high-end equipment in the front end (doors)

I'd like to see how easy or hard it was for certain speaker sets to be installed (worried mostly about depth).

I've pretty much decided on keeping it simple and doing a higher-end 6.5" component setup in the front doors.

Anyone have any personal experiences to contribute?

I did alpines 6.5" in all my doors, infinity 3/4 in tweeters in the front door pods and alpine 1" tweets in the rear, it was time consuming, but I kept the factory speaker enclosures for the doors by taking a little off of the outer diameter of the speaker using a bench grinder and great care till they fit in the enclosures after I had punched the stock speakers out of them.

Just an update since I went ahead with this a while back:

The doors are huge and offer plenty of space for pretty much whatever you want to run in there.

I ended up doing a set of Dynaudio Esotec 242s (7" drivers) in the doors and could have fit the 8" setup in there pretty easily.

Went with a Pioneer AVIC-7000, JL HD900/5 to power everything, and the JL Stealthbox.

I actually enjoy driving the thing so much more now that I don't have to be tortured with the OEM system.

I just put in some Hybrid audio technologies imagine 6.5 speakers in the stock location. Even with the stock amp it was a big step up.

Your setup dssa must sound very nice indeed.
