2001 X5 3.0 Steering wheel shaking after put in 18' wheel with tires size 255/55/r18

Hello all,

Please help me, I bought the bmw rims with tires size 255/55/r18, the car shaking while driving after more then 30mph. The tires are balance. My original 17 inches has no problems before I replace this 18' rims. Please help me what is wrong with it.

Thanks,
Henry

You probably need hubcentric rings.

Upallnight, can you recommend hubcentric rings that fits my 2001 BMW X5 3.0 and do I need all four wheels? Do you need the new Lug Nuts Wheel after put hubcentric rings? I would appreciate it for the help.

Thanks,
Henry

Before you toss on a set of hub rings, are the wheels oe or aftermkt, new or used,
did the new tires/rims balance out well on a real bal machine, eg a Hunter, and on...

Unless I missed the backstory, your post doesn't offer much info except for previous wheels vs new wheels.

Measure the Hub bore in the rims and post your results here. You can reuse the old lug bolts.

I bought BMW OEM rims from 2013 BMW x5 18' along with the tires size 255/55/r18 on it and did balance all wheels. The holes for wheel lug are the same as my 2001 x5 with tires size 235/65/r17. The first image is the original rim 17' rim and second is the 18' inches rim.

Thanks,
Henry

Thanks much need info... This plus the link about tire fitment has got me squared away. 18" 177's are in my e53's future. So does anyone need/want my style 130? The tire is pretty worn but drive able. I'll txt picks to anyone who's interested. (when I get my car back)
