285-60r18

Just got my new tires on this week 285-60r18 nitto Terra grappler g2. They fit but it is tight and at full steering lock they have a slight rub. Over all I couldn't be happier and love they additional function gained by removing my 20s

Awesome, who else is running 18" wheels in place of 20's

Has anyone figured out the exact size 18" tire to match the diameter of the 168's w/ stock tires? I'm gonna get 177's in both 20's and 18's just need to figure out the tire size to match. Or at least how much tire I can run with out any rub, not to mention thinner > wider when it comes to winter conditions. What's everyone like for 18's

Mean looking meats...
I wonder about the ride comfort/noise, traction and tire wear running aggressive lug tires all around IA, from June to winter?

Makes the car look much tougher IMO, and will be more practical off road and/or during your winter (snow). Might have to consider something similar for mine, as I do a combination of off-road / highway driving in my area - about 40/60 and the low profile tyres with highway pattern on the OEM 19" rims don't like gravel or mud all that much. Need something with better traction and not sure if I'll find anything low profile to suit.

Ride and comfort are improved as for treadwear the tires have a 65,000 mile warrenty that's actually valid since I'm not running staggered. I had been running summer 20s and winter snows on 18 this will replace both sets. They will be used to run around lots of states with my upcoming trip to northern Minnesota and my favorite road trips to wyoming. As for my speedometer being off that is being taken care of by my avinusa unit running a gps speed app as well as a HD dash cam. Since I wasn't lucky enough to get a x5 with overdrive it's also nice to run lower rpm now
