Is there anything good you can say about your X today?

Ah yes.... The turn of the key. That surge of power. Those comfortable leather seats. That cool air from the AC. The sound of great music coming from the stereo.
Nothing bad to say over here!!!!!

Our '01 hauled me and my CEO's fannies ~1700 miles from our NC Mtn home to NJ last week and back, for our usual June run for our granddaughter's 12th...

It ran better than my Rolex, got 20.9 overall on the trip, consumed less than half a qt of oil, (high rpms at highway speeds in our 5 speed manual), and still looks better than 90% of the 'suvs' on the road.

Handles well, stops like it hit a wall of Jello, makes me 'feel good', or as good as I can feel at this age.
GL, mD

^Agreed with all mD says and more for sure, my only gripe is that I feel like as soon as I give it a good wash and cleaning, it rains!

Yes. The 4.8is is hands down the best looking SUV to date!

Oh and best sounding!

And the fastest on the road*

*(Disclaimer voice) This car is only the fastest when no other cars faster (which is a growing list ) than it are on the same road

Best looking vehicle in town, sounds fantastic, handles well even with a suspension in need of refreshing (after 117K).

Went to my 25-year reunion with it this weekend and not only did I get 24.2mpg on the way up and back, but I instantly seemed more successful to all my HS classmates.

At 281,150 miles, it's made me something of a celebrity at the local BMW dealership!

Admired mine several times today, as I walked past it. Had to look back on one occasion... 4 months since purchase and I still love the overall look and comfort of this vehicle. My wife says it's the best looking car we own (8 in the stable).

Punched mine up for a quick run through the streets and out on the Hwy for its weekly blow out the dust as the storms hit the east coast. It waded through 3-6 inches of water crossing roads, zip up the hwy at upper double digits, and plowed through traffic of mere mortals puttering along in their struggling Prius. It is GREAT to drive the beast!

Oh and the AC works, lights work, wipers work, brakes, etc, etc, etc.

Now I get to rewash it and scrub out the wheel wells, and add a little wax to the hood.......

Schlepped to Flagstaff and back this weekend to help the niece move into her new apartment.

Avg'd 20.4 running at some *cough* interesting velocities. A/C blew cold the whole way (even in 110 deg F Vegas temps on the drive home) and never had a worry, even in the monsoon rains we drove through at times.

Flipped over 97k on the trip. Happy camper.
