Hey Everyone who chimed in, big thanks to all of you. It has been about 3 weeks now and two bigger bottles of Techron. Just when I was going to start throwing parts at it the sending unit started acting normal again. With 3/4 tank the gauge dropped to empty with the low fuel light on and going all the way to 0 miles on the range it showed ---. I filled the tank again with second bottle of Techron and low and behold it showed full again. Now it appears to be acting normal.

I honestly did not believe that adding an additive would do anything but I have to tell you now I am a firm believer. Thanks CN90 and uppallnight for your persistence on this tip. I will be adding Techron to all my vehicles from now on. I know the ethanol they add to fuel nowadays is horrible on fuel systems if it sits for a few weeks. I will be doing a fuel filter change and hope all goes back to normal. I will keep you posted to see if this clears up completely. Cheers

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
^^Good to hear, hope the fix continues.

I throw a big bottle of Techron in every 6 months or so, and usually throw Lucas UCL (about 10 oz) in with each tank of 93, I love lubricity, and I hate ethanol in our fuel.

Another good stuff is "Liqui Moly", about $6-$7 at Napa Auto Parts:

I wrote a DIY Fuel Filter somewhere in forum, if you need it.

Thanks, I will start using the Techron regularly. I use Lucas fuel additive regularly but never used the other stuff. I hope this cures it and I will post on this thread the results, good or bad.
