Help! Euro headlight swap, 2004 4.8is
The passenger side works just fine. The drivers fired up for minute then went bye bye. I have swapped in the working ballast, xenon bulb, and ignitor from my working 545i to try and narrow down the cause... Nothing. I have done all tests with the car running to make sure it's not a voltage issue (new battery too). Funny thing is, I put back in the original assembly and the projector fired right up.
Please help! Thank you.

Adding pics...well, just because? In any case-I'm thinking now this has something to do with the LCM after doing a bit more research...Any ideas on that from anybody?? Just have my indy look at codes using NCS expert?

Maybe the LCM needs to be reset. I would have your indy run DIS (not NCSExpert that is for coding) and see if any errors are being thrown up. You should have a function where he can activate each xenon light manually.
If he can do so, you may need to just reset the faults in the module, that might work. We had a member who had a similar issue recently, i forget what the resolution was...

THANK YOU RICKY BOBBY for a reply...really appreciate it. I'll snap this bumper back together tonight and schedule some time with my shop. I'll report back so that next time somebody has this issue there will be a thread with a resolution!

Here is BimmerM3inGA's thread that Jay mentioned. I don't have any useful advice but you are describing a similar issue to his.

^Thanks for finding that Olek I knew it was recent.
Maybe just need to disconnect the LCM or ALC then and reset the modules
