I need help from experts. I am not sure what is happened, but TEMP gauge will go all way to RED after 49C and then after full hit up will go to 90C (12 clock mark). Digital TEMP from ECU shows normal TEMP raise. It is something wrong with programming. When I replace cluster from my 2001 BMW 740i, TEMP gauge raise propper way. From 0 to 90. Is any one can share DUMP from WORKING cluster? Thank you in advance. |

Not sure if this would related to the 4.8 but, when I had my 2003 3.0i, the temp gauge reacted the same pegging to red hot shortly after warming up. I replaced the thermostat/ housing and it fixed that issue.
Good Luck!
