VALVE SPRING COMPRESSION TOOL

I am going to be changing my valves out and the spring compressor I have is to wide for the hole. I am going to buy a new one and I was wondering which compressor everyone else is using? Here is a pick of what I have currently.

I assume the head is off the engine. I use one of these:

Yes my head is off. That is the style I was thinking about getting but wanted to make sure it was wide enough to go around the head and the part that goes into the hole is long enough so not to bottom out against head. What brand is that one?

You need to buy what is referred to as a overhead cam valve spring compression tool. The one you have pictured is more for pushrod engines such as early American V8s.

When I bought my compression tool a long time ago it was described as for commercial truck engines.
