Does anyone know where I can buy this part of the door carrier?

2005 X5 3.0i Sports

Does anyone know where I buy this cable part of the door carrier? I recently replaced the entire carrier for one door and am starting to see the other handles fail as well. After a careful observation, this cable part has been stretched out over the years and I'm confident that's all that's needed to be replaced. I don't want to buy the entire unit which isn't cheap especially if it's OEM.

I don't think there is separate part# for that. It's included in door handle carrier.
If price matters, get Febi brand from rmeuropean.com. I've replaced both front carriers with Febi and it fit/works great.

There osna tiny piece of metal that breaks on the carrier. It's not worth just trying to replace the cable. A Febi carrier is good enough.

That cable part is very simple to take out and replace. It takes less than 1 min. I would like to keep the original carrier and just replace this cable only if available.

See if anyone here who replaced their door carrier will sell you the cable from their old carrier or just buy a used carrier on eBay.

FYI Brake cables are stronger then derailleur cables.

Did you replace the cable? Mine is acting up again after replacing the lock/ actuator again(10 mos old) so I'm thinking something like the cable is stretched even though the door handle carrier is only a year old. Any body have the cable length measurement on a new one? I had the carrier out and saw no broken parts, that's why I replaced the lock/actuator again.
