Basic Control Unit EGS

Hi,

I'm going to replace my EGS control unit as another try to solve my gearbox problems!
I don't know if it will work or not but no harm in trying....
The problem is my unit has the reference 24607506226 which looking at the ETK no longer exists, and as been superseded a few times, making a newbie like me without knowing what is, at this time, the correct reference for my car!
I'm buying a used one from Ebay and I really apreciate someone can help me in what reference to look for.
My car build date is 08/2001, is an E53 3.0d and the VIN is LN04110.

Thank you very much for your help.

Regards

Like most modules in this car you will need to get it coded if you replace the module.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
Yes I know the module needs coded and that will be done by someone I know on an official dealer, but regardless of that I need to buy the correct module.
There are so many different references for the module that I really don't know what number to look for!
Thanks.

Regards

E53 3.0d were not sold in the United States, and since this forum is primary made up of owners in the United States, you're not going to get a lot of help here.

Hi,

I understand and appreciate your help, but is it possible for someone that can actually read and understand the ETK online, with my VIN number LN04110 know the correct part number, from the 7 or 8 different ones that are shown?
My real problem is to interpret those terms superseed, interchangeable and non interchangeable!

Thanks.

Regards
