Alpina Dynamics Question

Hope someone can help answer my question. I am thinking of putting a set of Alpina Dynamics on a 2003 X - 4.4L.

The wheel specs are 72.56 Hub Bore which I am aware will work on the X5. They have an ET of 20 Front and 22 Rear with the standard BMW 5 x 120 Bolt Pattern.

My concern is the tire size can I use. The wheels currently have the following - 275 on the rear and 245/35 on the fronts.

Quick Edit: Sorry, I should give more information on these wheels.

Frnt - 20 x 9 / ET 20
Rear - 20 x 10 / ET22.

One important criteria is missing...what size are the wheels...18", 19", 20", 21", etc?

And I'm sure you're aware that the offset is way too low for the e53, right? But for some reason, I seem to remember seeing a pic of an E53 with 18" MPars mounted...not sure what/how they did it...but that image is seared into my memory.

Since the normal 20" tire sizes are 275/40 (f) & 315/35 (r)...I'd hit-up the tire size calculators to find a tire that meets the overall diameter criteria & wheel width criteria.

I did find the thread that discussed mounting Style 37 MPars on an e53 X5...and the lower offset justs pushes the wheel/tire combo out further. So, depending on the Alpina's width...you may be able to go with a narrower tire if they oe tire sizes hang out too far past the fender.

Here's a link to the thread w/pics about mounting MPars on an e53..take note of daniels635turbo's posts: M par' tires for fittment on my X5?

(E38 Style 37 MPars (13mm (f) & 25mm (r) wheel offset) mounted on an e53

Without knowing the width it's impossible to say they would fit, but the offsets you have seem to be in the correct range.

Looking at the tire size on there, I guess they are 20"x8.5" F, 20"x9.5" R
I would run 255/285 on there and use tire-size calculator for side wall thickness as Qsilver7 suggested.

Sorry guys, I should have added more information. Here are the wheel specs:

Frnt - 20 x 9 / ET 20
Rear - 20 x 10 / ET22.

From the chart Q posted, these wheels would stick out quite a bit on the X5. I have seen some pictures with Dynamics on the E53 which is what made me curious.

Here are some from the web...

The Correct Alpina Dynamic for the E53 Platform is a 21" Model. They will have the proper offset.

X5 (E53)
36 11 733

two 10” and two 11.5” x 21”light alloy wheels (Dynamic)
$5,606.00 Per set

Give susan @ KSK a call she can hook u up.

You are correct... they make or made 21" wheels for the X5. I can't see the offsets though - either KSK's site or Alpinas site. Do they still make these wheels?
