Issue solved. Contrary to what the dealership told me it was not the transfer case module. Once I replaced the transfer case actuator gear, all the issues went away. Thanks for the feedback.

Actually it was OP who suggested it could be the actuator gear and asked for opinions. Your opinion was yes-if otherwise something else.

Solved! DSC ABS fault after sketchy tire check / alignment woes
