What to expect when taking out CARPETS on your E53
Along side I have deiced to rebuild the TRIM TO Black Cosmos. Anyways, along While taking the entire lower interior apart I have captured a short video on What you will be facing in this situation, or meanwhile you are taking out carpets from your X5 E53 I am sure some of you want to go through a deep clean of your E53 once in the Blue Moon, especially if it had drainage problems (which means rain water with all the leafs and flies going into your floor) And get the fresh smell back in town Aswell as I have went though some unknown plugs that were hanging in there under the seats, carpets and in the panel, from a lazy BMW Plant Electricians, which could benefit you and open up an idea of adding a stock option to your X5 At the cost of it being found on a scrap yard know adays. (Heated rear seats, sliding rear bench, roll out trunk floor/range rover style, cellphone inbuilt etc...) Anyways if found useful let me know what else should be done to a stock 4.4 E53 As well as Subscribe for some Support CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO |

Great work and video. Thanks.
BTW, that Bissel vacuum you use there - they make a slightly modified one of those called a Bark Bath, which I use for my dog. LOL I had never seen another one out there.

Not sure if this applies to all facelift models but at least the late models have the same main wiring harness with all the options like your video shows. For example I've personally used the wiring for Webasto remote receiver in the trunk to easily retrofit T91 remote.
When you are at that point I would go a bit further and remove the dash to change the interior blower as a preventative measure. (Half of the job is already done.)

I'll be back in TO probably around April car is parked and not driving it in Salt. Here is the link on how to check your drainage. And see if the water makes it all the way down to the bottom of the car. https://youtu.be/-Hr2kS-nqEI Subscribe support 🙏 Other way to check It is very basic just press on the carpet very hard with your hand and see if your hands are getting any moisture at all or not. You have insta or something? |

WE ALL KNOW THAT EUROPEAN MARKET IS MORE CONSUMER FRIENDLY And dedicated for people with sense of Proper taste, when it comes to pretty much any brand because in America consumers will take anything (chevrolet Cavalier, Dodge Caravan, Oldsmobile intrigue 😬 or a Ford focus) and say "Hey this is great" where in Europe consumers will troll car manufacturers for offering to consumers these tasteless unequipped buckets with bolts, and perhaps will only they accept the Focus RS, or a diesel MK1 OR MK2 which will never make it to USA, and much much more. But ye |
