I would have definitely got the key marks out for the OP as long as they weren't down to primer and needing the door repainted. Or at least lessened them significantly so they aren't as noticeable. On a gray metallic like that wouldn't have been too hard of a job.

- Asking price isn't too bad considering the amount of work done, I get it that he is trying to recoup a bit of the costs he just laid out for maintenance.

Hi, no I really did not consider swap to the automatic as there are plenty of factory made ones and just a few of 6MT"s. As was said, I would really de-value the car, spend more money and would require to do plenty of work/coding/etc.

Yes, exactly that. Paid $12K for the car, spent well over $2K on parts and I am talking about parts alone.
Just Paid $1300 to register (tax+DMV fees) - that goes down the drain, obviously

GLWS OP. Nice vehicle, but you might have a hard time getting full asking on it given the price of other e53's in the market. Granted they may not be as well maintained, clean, etc. Then again, I am not up on the 6mt market so for all I know $14k is a steal?
$14K it is not a steal and as I mentioned in there tread some time ago - I know I will take a loss and open to reasonable negotiation (not be confused with arm twisting) On other hand, I am pretty much sure that absolute majority of us did not get a full asking price when sold something and did not pay the full asking price when bought something - that the way the life goes I guess.

GL and tbh I hope you do keep the X.
Is that what you were after?
