Thumbs up New sound system getting installed...

Hey, guys I just brought my X in today to get my speaker upgrade plus sub install at my local guy...I originally thought of mounting the 2 amps on back of the seats, but we found a new spot to mount them...1 in each compartment in the trunk, so everything is completely hidden...the amps fit perfectly in each compartment, i was amazed, and there is plenty of ventilation for each amp in each area....comments welcome, and pictures will be posted ASAP when i hopefully pick up the car tomorrow night as scheduled....

That's what I had done. A 250JL was installed in the driver's side compartment for the subwoofer, and a 350JL was installed in the passenger's side compartment for the remaining speakers. (I don't have NAV, Bluetooth, etc.) I like that setup. Totally stealth. Works great.

Good luck with your new and improved sound system.

Nice! I had two Alpine amps installed in the driver's side compartment...nice and clean as well. For hard hitting bass I have a dual 10" sub enclosure in the trunk.

Looking forward to pics of your setup.

Congratulation! I have DSP with NAV so I only upgraded the bass. I have the W6 12' V2 powered by the JL 500/1 and it already hits hard eventhough I barely crank up the gain. I can't imagine
how yours W7 will hit . Can't go wrong with JL's bass. Would love to see your set up.

J.
