4.6is water pump

Okay so I am gathering parts to redo my upper timing cover cases and I plan to change out the water pump during this process. I looked at getting the original water pump from BMW but it shows as remanufactured. So the question is would you go with a new Graf pump from Turner Motorsports or go for the remanufactured BMW pump? This of you with pre facelift V8 X5 please chime in. Thanks

Just did my replacement water pump and I personally went with OEM BMW. Been only 20K but so far so good on remanufactured.

OEM BMW can have you installing a China made Meyle pump, gotta love a new pump that comes with a little card in the box that states "some leakage may occur during shaft seal break-in".

Funny thing is, I've never seen puddles of coolant due to unbroken-in shaft seals under all the new BMWs at the dealers.

The China made Meyle pump I got 1.5yrs ago began leaking 1yr after installing. Sent back to BavAuto for a full refund toward GENUINE BMW pump (Made in Italy).

Nothing but Genuine BMW going forward.

Okay I was just surprised that the genuine water pump from BMW is a remanufactured unit. Not new
