Adaptive headlights question

Can adaptive headlights function be carried over to the vehicle that did not have them originally? If yes, what will need to be added(carried over), say, if there is a donor x5 that has them?

I had a problem with mine and had to replace the module..there are 2 extra small ECU in the dash wiring harness....not sure if you can unplug everything and plug it in another car. My total guess would say you could if it's in that year's model range and same engine.

screw the "upgrade lights idea" as I have a bigger problem - cant even get it started . I will trade not having the Adaptive lights for the car that starts and drives.
