2002 E53 X5 4.6is Rear Differential

Just wondering is anyone can verify if the 4.6is rear differential is an LSD. Reason I ask is I am currently troubleshooting. Dealer is useless when it comes to checking. I guess there was an LSD and NON-LSD available in this model.

Ratio is 3.91. There are no Tags, no white S stamp, just the UPC code. A BMW logo on the side and a couple of what appears to be casting lot numbers. Anyone have any ideas?

One simple test is to jack up the car, turn one wheel and see the response is on the opposite side. Same rotation direction? Posi-Trac (Limited slip) opposite? Non Limited Slip (Open Rear). This simple test works on mechanical rears only not electronic or ABS driven/ managed diffs.

Disclaimer I have never tested an X5 diff to see if this works. Some will post observations shortly I am sure.
