X5 3.0i Failing Water Pump Sound
Here's what a failing bearing in the water pump sounds like in an M54 engine. This is in a 2005 E53 X5 with the 3.0i.

cn90 is on a distinguished road
BMW M52 and M54 water pump bearing goes dry at 140K-150K or so. Then blow up after some 160K...

Believe it or not the production date stamp says 05, it is the original pump with 124k miles. Just changed it yesterday with the thermostat and belts. Will post that DIY video soon!
