Newbie signing in with Project 4.4

Hello all, I just bought my first X5, It's the 04 (Nearly 05 as it was first registered in the UK in December 2004). Facelift model, though that's hard to tell from the state of the front end right now.

I bought it like this, I'ts having bumpers and bonnet painted in the next couple weeks and wheels refurbed along with new tyres to follow.

Covered just 92K with FSH (BMW SH to 68K)

Have a few mods I'd like to do, but will be needing assistance from fellow owners on a few bits like rear bumper removal and some technical advice on Vanos (Yep I'm well aware of that issue).

Here's a few pics, wish me luck, will post a few more as I progress

Was it the victim of a front end collision?

Believe so, nothing extensive, all the components behind the bumper intact, aircon intercooler etc all ok..

With a little bit of elbow grease.....I'm sure she's gonna be fine!

For now...Give her the basic maintenance she deserves.... then work on the issues that has been neglected by the PO!

Good luck!
