seat swap question

I'm on travel so have limited ability to research this - would appreciate some help - I have a chance to pick up some good condition heated seats from a 2006 E53. Will they fit into a 2001? Will the power functions still work? Any thoughts on the chances that my 2001 is pre-wired (it doesn't currently have heated seats).

The wiring harness might be there, but you'd have to add the switches in the console. I'd be concerned that the memory module would not be compatible with the key fob though.
