2001 4.4 how do i disconnect the alarm when battery drains?
hi,
my x5 battery drained last night in the street and the alarm started going off at about 6 am. i know it must have annoyed my neighbours. at 7.30 am realised that it was my car and went out. i couldn't turn the alarm off. i have had the battery, etc. tested and its all fine. if it happens tonight how can i silence the alarm (remove a fuse etc) until the recovery gets here? thanks |

If the battery tests fine, check the hood switch. When it goes bad, it will trigger the alarm. You can unplugged it.

Ok, get on rear seat, and lock all doors manually by pushing thingies on the top of door panels. Car will be locked but slarm won't arm and should not go off.
