Arnott front air strut, steel vs aluminum tops

All, looking to buy front struts for my 4.8 is. I see the rebuild ones with the original steel towers and new ones with the aluminum tops.

Any thoughts ? Advantages ?

I have 2 different ones. One being the arnott with the aluminum top your most likely talking about and another that looks like stock design, with diff arnot conti bag.

Front end rides the same and ride height programs exactly the same. I would have replaced in a pair however didnt have that option. One blew out which i changed, other had slow leak which i did 3mo later.

Thanks. Arnott had indicated that their new assembly ( alum top) has less damping - a little former ride
