When was it last serviced?Without knowing this it will be difficult to tell you what you will need to be done.
50,000 mile service will include renewing your oil,oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, ventilation filter, confirm and top up fluid levels, check air pressures and tyre wear, check lights, full diagnostic check up,change your pads and discs(if necessary!),lubricate door hinges and other moving parts, check suspension and both axles, check wheel bearings.......and so on.............................!

This isn't is neccessarily his Inspection II. Depends on how many oil changes he's had. If it's time for Inspection II it'll light up in the cluster. There's something wrong with this article page, but go to the bottom to see what is covered with the Inspections and Oil Service.

You need to wait till that green light is out and there is one orange light. At that point, you might need an oil service or might need Inspection II. Here's the rule of thumb:

-There's 5 green lights. When they're all gone, you'll get an Orange light which means its time for an oil service/oil change.
-It usually about 12.5k-15k miles before all the green lights are out.

-It's highly recommended to get an oil change done somewhere around 6.5k-7.5k.

-Reset the service light only when you get to the orange light.
