'05 3/4 of my door speakers went out

I was driving earlier today and the bass cut out and the audio suddenly got a lot quieter. I had been hearing crackles from the driver side speaker for about a week. The strange part is all the door speakers are not working except the passenger front. The tweeters and the dashboard speakers are still working however, it's definitely a lot quieter. Any idea what could be causing this issue? The system is all factory, this is the business CD model.

Amplifier failure (usually corrosion) is not uncommon. Do you have dsp, hifi, or base audio?

Use an online ViN decoder or realoem.com

Then the amp is located in the left boot cubby. Water intrusion and corrosion is common. The amps do fail sometimes as well, but I think corrosion is the main culprit.

See here. https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...sp-nondsp.html

Not 100% that's your problem. But it's where I would start.

My plug looks just as corroded geez, I bought a used amp that looks a lot cleaner as well as tried to clean up as much of the corrosion as I could. Hopefully that does the trick.
