How long did your front outer axle boots last?

I got 127K on my E53. I assume the front axles are the original ones. Trying to get a general consensus on how long everyone else's lasted.

I just find it funny that both front boots blew exactly at the same time. I have made some recent performance mods. I don't want to mention what I did for fear of tainting opinions.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Did you just change just the boots or the whole axle? What kind did you have before?

Boots on mine lasted 9 years or 45,000 miles. Yes, there is lots of full lock parking turns that shorten their lives. I clean and Armor All them with the annual oil changes.

As Trader mentioned, if you catch them as they split and begin to throw grease, you can just replace the outer boots. A quick and easy DIY project.

Mine were toast (on the e53) at 65k. For some reason both failed again shortly after but the current set looks good at 40k.
