Is this a Window Regulator Failure or

Just replaced the VB on RR door.

Wife told me and I confirmed the following day, that the rear window drops (as in electric engaging). If you put child window lock on, it does not want to drop.

12 years and have yet to replace 1 regulator, so I never paid attention to the symptoms. This sounds more like a electrical issue though no ? Gurus, based on the symptoms, what is it.

Vapor Barrier.

Correct re going down. You can hear the motor engaging as it goes down..It does a dip, then a brief 1/2 pause and then a dip lower. I have not let it drop all the way to observe it but if I roll the windows up via DS switch and engage the lockup, it no longer dips.

I did not try a different key but will when I get back home tonight to see if it behaves any different.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
If you had it off to replace the vapor barrier you should have at least done the $2 window glass clip and the actual regulator clip on the track while it was open - both can be done "in situ" - I've also noticed if the door panel is not clipped in correctly it will fight the glass on the way up/down

1+,

When one of the clips is broken, it creates an unbalanced condition, making the motor works harder (skewed glass).

I wrote a DIY recently, see the thread below:
