Valve cover gasket ELRING VS Genuine BMW

Hi guys, my mechanic mentioned that my valve cover gasket is leaking (What?Really? my BMW leaking oil? What a shock! Isn't that factory installed option? he-he) Anyway, I ordered an OEM Kit form FCP and then I found and bigger kit
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...11120030496kit
but it is mix including some items from company called ELRING, would anyone know if that is a good quality product? I mean they both will beat the leaky ones in the car now but still...

I can tell you without hesitation, for the BMW I6 engines I will ONLY use gaskets and grommets from BMW dealers at this point. Replace ALL of the valve cover grommets, this is a MUST as they provide the clamp load for the valve cover. It has been stated by numerous sources that BMW actually changed the valve cover gasket material recently to Viton as I recall. I do not know or trust what the other manufactures are using for materials at this point.

Use BMW Parts Catalog to find part numbers,

You can purchase the BMW gasket sets online, use this tool to find the best dealer pricing - BMW Part Number Price Comparison for Windows & Mac

I also use Permatex Ultra Black for the cam humps and front sealing edge of the valve cover.

Pay careful attention to the valve cover looking for cracks as well, see this info -

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
^^Agreed - I would go with OE Genuine BMW for the 15 grommet seals and the VCG/spark plug tube seals

guys, if you could just follow the link... Some of those items are Genuine and some not.
also, I am suspecting that OFH gasket gives up few drops of oil as well and gasket for that only available from company called Meistersatz trough FCP, do you think I should just go to nearest BMW stealership and pick up genuine one or order it from other supplier? In link below, there is a air hissing sound that somewhat resembles what I hear from my engine, may be not exactly to that extend but close (I did smoke test OK and DISA is brand new oem) so I ordered PCV Kit to do with OFH at once, what do you think?

Come on just use the genuine BMW gasket with permatex and it will not leak. Its all in the technique that one applies.

Genuine BMW gaskets are Viton material, will last around FOUR TIME as long as non-Viton "bargain" gaskets.

The "bargain" gaskets are great for used car lots fixing leaks for minimum parts costs and shady indy shops that will be glad to re-do the job every few years.

If you plan on keeping the vehicle, Genuine BMW ONLY!

I can see that you make a lot of sense but EOM gasket set is :
BMW Valve Cover Gasket Set - Genuine BMW 11120030496 $41.99 1
and the one form ERLING:
BMW Valve Cover Gasket Kit - 11120030496KIT $96.02
Not exactly cheap aftermarket alternative and for 2x extra cost it only has those grommets/washers.
