Am I due for a tail-light circuit board repair

Noticed the PS Rear Tailight Brake Bulb was a bit dim....the middle brake bulb, aka, dual filament.

As well, drivers side Hatch (rear fog) no light.

Both the bulbs I removed looked fine....
New Bulbs - Same symptoms.
For sure, I'm going to presume the tail just needs some circuit board solder.

The lenses etc on these lights are fine.

Off to Ebay to possibly consider a swap.
Any ~particular~ recommendations ya'll might recommend.
Will the 3rd parties take the proper wire pinout for the hatch fogs enabled...

I wonder if you've got the burnt out spot short circuit problem. Did you check fuses? I have done the solder repair for the burnt spot on both of mine twice now. It affected the brake lights though, not those others. There is a spot on the metal that needs to solder to fill in a hole that gets created over time.

There's info here on it - been awhile since I've looked it up.

I've done the solder once eons ago...but the brake light was completing dead. In this scenario, the middle light is just dim...

Strangely, both sides of the tails are normal tonight. No change on my end. Weird.

DS rear fog is still shot. I guess I need to break it out one day to see if the board is shot

This is a reason why LED taillights is such a popular mod. No more headache with the taillights.

I repaired mine via solder and bending of the contacts. With the application of dielectric grease (silicon grease) haven't had any further problems.

Those LED tails have looked tempting but I'm still not sure on the "OEM-ness" of the look. I'm tempted to buy a set of wrecked OE ones and design my own LED boards/lenses to go behind it.

I personally don't look the like of the LED's / and or the current LED styles available. I'll have to google image search them for me to definitively say why, but between a set of OE's versus LEDS, I would choose OE anyday
